Storing a van in France is something I've been considering for some time but never thought about insurance. It looks like this could be a stumbling block, so the obvious question is, who does insure caravans while in storage abroad

I think the only company who does it now is Towergate, but their underwriters seem to have become quite fussy about the storage requirements. When I asked what security the storage needed to be approved, they unhelpfully said that each place would be assessed individually so couldn't give any criteria that the storage would need to meet. They definitely will not cover vans stored on a working farm though, whatever the security measures in place.
