All understood. If I look close enough I think the pair I need to grow have already show signs of slight growth. I'll give you all my word, it's full steam ahead for the heating when we next go away.

If it is cold and we are off ehu then we use the gas on our Alde system. If it is cold and we are on ehu then we will probably use gas as well because it is more powerful and I am not prepared to shiver. The system are sealed an all of the combustion takes place outside of the caravan so should be safe.

Probably get Norris worrying again! .... but my Truma Combi blown air unit is mounted internally under a front bench/bed! I do believe some units are mounted externally below the floor (some of the Whale systems for one).

It is a requirement that all combustion, with the exception of the hob and oven, takes place outside of the habital area.   Doesn’t matter what make of heating is fitted to the caravan.

What about the fridge?

.... as is the fridge exhaust!

Regulations or not, both heater and fridge are burning gas within the habital area albeit in systems that that are sealed (quite questionably in the case of the fridge!) but venting exhaust gases to outside.
