Don't any of you watch sport? OH wouldn't go away without the TV and satellite equipment. And no, we don't watch TV all the time.
Well I must admit neither of us is particularly into sport, it has just never appealed to us. When we watch TV at home it is usually comedy, documentaries, or a good drama, like Shetland which has just finished. We get all the sport we need on the news programmes. Sitting in front of "the box" like we would be doing at home just has no appeal at all. If the weather is good we hardly spend any time inside the caravan, we are always out and about. That's what we go on holiday for. If the weather's too bad to go out, or if we are back too early to go straight to bed, we just read for a while. We are both keen readers, and my wife belongs to a book club.

Colin

I enjoy reading, OH doesn't. I mainly read at home
We both enjoy reading and read at home and on holiday. Always take several books with us, but some sites have a small "library" and we always take a look in there.

Well clearly not everyone minds pitching under trees as the site we were on in September seemed to be very popular. The middle weekend of our holiday it was completely full. On that site it would have been impossible not to pitch under trees as it was literally in a forest. They had just made little clearings for pitches, and the "roads" were just signposted dirt-tracks between the trees, but you were still under trees wherever you pitched. We enjoyed it but I must admit with hindsight that I hadn't thought much about branches coming down. A really big one would probably go straight through a caravan roof. I'm sure they must have patrolled the site rigorously though checking for things like that. It was a C&CC site and they are usually pretty good on maintenance. Our kind of site, absolutely no regimentation whatsoever!

Colin
