BOFS, think you may have completely misread some of the info.
You can use either device on more than one vehicle*, I'm not at all sure where you got the idea that the TC215 is designed to be used on more than one vehicle whilst the Solar Colour isn't.
(* subject to set alarm parameters being the same or reset to each vehicle.)
The devices have no 'link' to the actual vehicle as such, it's just the tyre sensors are radio 'paired' to the base monitor unit. If you want to use it on a different vehicle, you simply transfer the monitor unit and the tyre sensors from one vehicle to the other. Relatively easy to do as basically they are only tyre valve caps with a locking nut to retain the sensor. BUT you may need to reset the alarm/monitoring parameters to suit the individual vehicles if they differ (it is necessary in nearly all circumstances to set the monitoring and alarm parameters to suit your individual vehicle, rather than rely on factory default settings!), there's not any way I'm aware of to preset multiple vehicles in the monitor unit!
TC215 is most certainly designed to be used with trailers of all sorts, with up to 3 axles with single or twin wheel configuration, and it will monitor BOTH tow vehicle AND trailer (if sensors fitted to all wheels - and up to 22 wheels in total!) which the Solar Colour is not really meant to do, it's more suited to a solo car or MH, and can only monitor WHICHEVER set of wheels, tow car OR trailer, the sensors are fitted to. The sensors are the same for both devices by the way.
I don't leave my sensors in situ when the van is in storage (remote storage yard), as potentially quite easy to steal by anyone knowledgeable of the fitting method and a suitable spanner to undo the 'security' locking nut! The sensors can be 'paired' with ANY monitor unit, so no security in that. At around £30 each to replace, I'd be a bit miffed it they went missing! So every time I use the van I refit them, it's a 5 minute job, all part of checking tyre pressures before use, therefore swapping between two vans is no more arduous.

My van tyres run at 59psi cold, very quickly (a mile or 2) once moving typically that rises 7-8psi (around 14% increase). 25% increase would be within the tyres safe working pressure (The Max tyre pressure stated on the sidewall is the COLD pressure, not the Max hot running pressure!), but would likely indicate overheating taking place under normal ambient temperatures.

Our towcar has built in tyre pressure monitoring which is great as it has alerted us on several occasions to a slow puncture, however my wee Yaris, that we use as a runaround car and which I take to work, does not. I have had a few instances over the last few years where I have had a slow puncture and haven’t noticed any difference to that handling of the Yaris until I was somewhere really inconvenient like the motorway. One of these Tyrepal systems would be great for the Yaris and then, if I am reading things correctly, could be transferred to the caravan to monitor it while we are away or alternatively we could buy an extra two valve covers and have two on the caravan all the time as well as the 4 on the Yaris.
So, I have a few questions for anyone who has one.
1. If we had 4 sensors on the Yaris and 2 on the caravan we would have a total of 6 linked to the base unit. However, as we clearly don’t tow with the Yaris, all 6 would never be used at the same time. Do you have to keep reprogramming the base unit or would it just ignore the sensors that are out of range?
2. My main concern is theft of the sensor. Does it just screw on and how easy is it to remove? We live in Liverpool, in one of the moderately dodgy areas, and I would imagine that if they were easy to remove, they would be gone in no time.
3. We have a large single axle caravan. The website suggests that if the sensors are more than 7m away from the base unit, you need a repeater fitted as well. I measured yesterday and we are pretty much at exactly 7m from the dashboard of the car to the caravan tyre. Is anyone else at the maximum distance without the repeater and is there any leeway?

I've got a Tyrepal TC215, so hands on experience with that model, can't say the other models available are identical in features and operation.
1) Not a situation I'd ever thought about, and thinking about it I still couldn't decide! So, turned my base unit on and the display symbols for the tyres set up (single axle caravan only – car has it's own built in TPMS) just blink awaiting input from the tyre sensors (which 'go into sleep mode' when wheel not revolving, so same as totally absent), but no alarms going off!
The registered/paired sensors are 'scanned/results displayed' in a sequential fashion, NOT all at once. It looks like the display will just flash the symbols for the 'absent' car tyres in the normal sequential manner but only actively monitor and report the tyre sensors that have 'woken up' from detected rotation, that'd be the caravan ones.
So you may not need to reset the unit each time you swap vehicles. You can also 'De-Link' the trailer from the base unit when only using the car, so display and monitoring ignore it.
2) There is a minimalistic security device on the tyre sensors, they have a 'lock nut' which goes on before the cap-sensor, then the 'cap-sensor' is fitted, then the lock nut is tightened against it, which offers a degree of security, but I wouldn't say foolproof, just an inconvenience to easy removal! The cap-sensors are quite large, much bigger than a standard dust cap, so do stand out a little! I believe older sensors had a tiny grub screw to secure them rather than a lock nut!
They are replaceable and easily paired with base unit if lost, but at around £30 each, you wouldn't want to be loosing too many! You can get internal sensors that replace the standard tyre valve rather than the 'dust cap' type, much like the OEM equipment on cars factory fitted with TPMS, but at a cost and needing fitting by a tyre dealer as tyre needs to be partially removed from rim to fit.
3) Think the distance between my caravan axle and car dash is close to 7m (I did a rough check before purchase, but didn't keep a record of figure!), and never had any issues! Thing is, it's a radio signal, and lots of things can affect it, interference (it's a common frequency band for unlicensed devices), obstacles to the signal (caravan/car bodies), even atmospheric conditions. The 7m range is not a hard cut off point, it's more like a distance where reliability of signal starts to waiver.
Impossible to say if it would work 100% reliably with your outfit or not, as a host of variables unique to you.
If you do need the signal booster, it's £44, or £39.60 through CMHC discount at Prima Leisure. Can be added as an afterthought if needed. I gambled, and haven't needed it.
