We were told NOT to leave the blinds down as it stretches the springs and then the blinds won't work dealer told us]. We just pull the curtains across.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Blinds up and curtains closed when in storage. Have seen some with cardboard cut to fit in the blind frame. Also have seen cardboard covered with kitchen foil in the frames.

Personally we would rather replace our springs on the blinds than have our curtains rot out through sun damage, and I'm fed up with dealer's and fellow campers trying to tell us otherwise!
On our storage site nearly everyone keeps their blinds/curtains down, temptation out of temptation's way!
In Summer I close the curtains, but in WInter and this time of year I leave them open as I think a little Winter/Spring sunshine keeps the van nicely aired and warmed through.

So, to sum up then there is no "right or wrong" way of doing it, as a new owner I was wondering which was best. yes if you leave the blinds down the springs become weak.sometimes they will retention,if not its expensive to replace them

Blinds up,curtains closed, imagine it would be cheaper/easier to replace faded or rotten curtains when the time comes?.Caravan dealer gave us advice which we've heeded.
We keep the blinds up and only have voile curtains so I've cut those silver screens that you can put in car windscreens to fit so that they can be pushed into the window 'frame'. Only takes a few minutes

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.
The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.
