I'd like to thank Alsparker too ! We too found damp at the front of our caravan only last weekend (luckily it was only the wooden framework around the window and not the side panels etc). We'd never have known it was there (lockers were dry, usual haunts to look for damp were all dry too). We only found out as we had to rip a piece of material off the front (It didn't match with our new cushions) and there was a gaping hole behind it and rotten wood inside ! I could have cried to say the least. Hubby tried reassuring me that he could 'fix it' but I was really unsure.
If I hadn't have looked at Alsparker's website and the rebuild, I wouldn't have thought it possible. Suffice to say the framework has all been replaced, new panelling put in and a very near match for the interior decor has been put up. It looks fantastic ! Hubby on the other hand doesn't ! Bless him he's been working 24/7 on it so we can get away at the end of the month.
So ...... thanks Alsparker for sharing your rebuild with us and for reassuring a very wary and worried wife that it can be 'fixed' ! lol. A great website by the way !
Hopefully we shall meet on one of the rallys in the future.
Best wishes and take care.
