Most people selling caravans on eBay put them on for at least 10 days and invite viewings. The problem arises if the caravan you like is 200 miles away. You could go to see it but you still have to win the bidding, so you can waste an awful lot of time and spend a lot of money running all over the country viewing caravans only to be disappointed at the end of the auction, or if the owner accepts an offer off eBay (as many do).
I would suggest potential buyers stick with caravans advertised within a reasonable distance and go to see them...there are always hundreds of caravans for sale especially out of season.
I can't afford to lose £11 a week, Bertie...I wouldn't be able to afford to go camping!
not always the case.
i contacted the seller to arrange viewing on our Avante. it was only 20 miles away. we loved the van, he had all the documents, CRIS , every handbook, service receipts etc and you get a vibe about somebody, ie they aint full of s**t and are genuine folk.He told us the reserve price & that it was our van if we really wanted it and we offered him just above that to end the auction. He accepted, took it off ebay, we paid the deposit, he had no sellers fees, we had a bargain.the perfect deal !!!!!
