We brought our bailey in  march 2005, and love it, have had a few small problems , but nothing bad. It was due for it service in febuary, but we had a sudden death in the family so the sevice went by the way side. I rang the other day to book it in to be told that they had no spaces until end july. I was gob smacked, and worried that this would effect the warranty. So the dealer rang bailey and they were really helpful and understanding and have said they will honor the warranty. So its also nice to know that should something go wrong the after care seems to be there which is really reasuring.

Well we have a 2006 Bailey Senator Carolina. It’s our fourth new caravan and I have to say it’s the muts nuts. Every other new caravan we have had has had faults right from day one. Our Lunar suffered sixty-three faults in just three years, including water ingress twice and floor de-lamination. Utter crap!

The Bailey has had a window mist up as the inner pane and outer pane had separated on one corner. This is a part that Bailey out-source, so hardly their fault. It was replaced free of charge within two weeks. Otherwise absolutely perfect!

No other manufacturer is offering a six-year water ingress and floor de-lamination warranty like Bailey, so they must be very confident in their product to sell them with this length of liability. Also I know that they have an environmental chamber, into which one van in every ten goes. It is then chilled to minus something, baked to thirty something and then sprayed with water for seventy-two hours! If a damp test then shows any sign of water ingress all ten are rejected for re-work.

Shall we take the awning down; in-case it rains in the morning?

Only got ours last August, it's our first van and we love it. We had a scratched interior panel (think they did it fitting the fridge), which was replaced no problem when I complained. First time we tried to use the fridge on gas it wouldn't work! Having said that we were newbies to caravanning, it was merely an air lock in the gas pipe!! All is well now and we've enjoyed many many nights in that van. Off to Germany with it later this year. janx you're unlikely to be disappointed with your new van, we love ours.

2007 Bailey Ranger 500/5 - first Caravan after 8 seasons with a folding camper.

Two weekends away to date and no problems at all, very very happy with our choice.

Because of weight\price\dealer proximity our shortlist consisted of the Ranger and the Avondale Dart. Neither of us felt we could live with the dark brown upholstery of the Dart. You also get a slightly larger van with more equipment for less money with the Bailey.

Note that most of the anti-Bailey comments on this forum are from non Bailey owners - trying to justify their own purchases in their own minds?
