Fulabeer , i'm sure i read somewhere on here that someone had a similar problem with a powertouch and it turned out to be poorly crimped cable connectors , maybe be worth checking or get the fitter to check .

I have recently ordered and had 2 Enduro's fitted (one to mine and one to my in laws) by Leisure Supplies Online - Great service, great guy, very professional. My van has an external Enduro flap for the isolator key and everything is extremely neat and profesh.

Unfortunately Alans Caravans/Bolsover Caravans had a good price at £725 fitted, but didn't get back to me for some reason.

Well - I have just ordered mine - thanks for the link Wizard.
£588 including delivery. I ordered over the telephone and they were very helpful.
Hopefully it will be here Monday. I am hoping Hubby can fit it sometime next week as we are away over the bank holiday.
Will let you know how we get on.

Howdy peeps, just nipped in for a very quicky squiz at what I've been missing on here for a-g-e-s and before turning in for an early night howsomever....

Saw this and just had to shove in my four penneth

Anyhoo, we've got a Powrtouch for our also heavyweight tin tent so needed the Mark 2 as the Mark 1 only goes up to 1200kg weight and it's BRILLIANT

BUT......and here's the lovely bit....a dear ukcs buddy was kind enuff to let us in on how you can also get reconditioned ones which carry a 3 year warranty instead of the 5 year jobby ya get with the brand new ones but it's also fitted anywhere your tin tent is by one of their mobile fitters and LOOKS brand new. You always get a brand new remote for it though so that's about the only bit that isn't a recon.

We always thought that a motor mover was out of our reach coz of the price bracket but then I had a booby thingy done two days before we were due to go on our hols and poor hubby couldn't possibly do all the moving of our monster on his own, (not that I've been able to help him with the pulling and shoving the state of me), so it was essential. As soon as I knew what I was going to have to have done and when, we got straight onto Powrtouch and they did have a recon Mark 2 in stock so they dispatched it to our home address straight away and then we took it to our storage site for the chap to install on the Friday morning as we were going away at midnight

It's fantastic and I can do allllllll the moving with just my two thumbsHow clever am IHubby never gets a chance to get his mitts on MY remote

And the best bit......our mover which should've cost about £1200 new only cost about £600 and something, (sorry can't remember the exact price and neither can my hubby).

Having read some of the bad bits about this actuator gismo.....I'm just glad that my actuator is hubbyThat's the only bit he has to do, the bending down to lock the rollers on

We l-u-r-v-e our Powrtouch and would literally be lost without it as all I've ever been able to do is guide the tin tent as my hubby does the pushing and pulling and our new tin tent was just tooooooo heavy for one person.

Hope you do get what you need/want coz you won't regret it.....any motor mover I mean, they're all marvellous!!!!

Having been told our new mover would hopefully be here Monday - we were pleasantly suprised to find a delivery attempt had been made first thing this morning. We collected it from the depot this evening and now have the weekend to get it fitted.
Massive box (well 2 actually) - I know noting about movers but was expecting something a quarter of the size.

Hi - I ordered mine yesterday from Alans Caravans by telephone - was told it should be here Monday but it arrived today - they were very helpful - the link was provided by Wizard - not sure if it is on this thread the other recent thread on movers. If you search my posts you should be able to find it.
I will post to let you know how my husband gets on fitting it to the van - hopefully tomorrow.

I've loaded some pictures to my website , of my enduro mover fitted to my caravan , so you can have a gander . Click_here

Tips .

The polystyrene motor packaging that comes with the Enduro can be used to place the mover on while bolting up .
Look at this picture Click_here , where the cable enters the rubber cover ( The big plus sign ) , make sure that the cable end fitting fits fully and correctly on to the spade connection that is within the rubber ( it enters via a slit on the rubber , you'll see what i mean when you come to fit it ) .
It may be an idea to fit the cables to the motors before you fit them in place .
I used gasket sealer where the cable enters the motor rubber , to prevent any possibility of water getting in ( see picture ) .
Before doing cabling identify them with the little plastic numbers ( they are supplied ) .
If you want to transfer your mover to a different caravan in the future don't shorten the cables .

When I wired in my Enduro, exactly as per the diagram, one of the rollers went the wrong way round.
The internal wiring of the motors can (on occasion) be connected the wrong way round. It makes absolutely no difference to the performance, other than going the wrong way. Remember they are designed to go forwards and backwards, these odd motors go backwards and forwards
So if you have one, just swap over the wires from this motor at the control box, and Bob's your Uncle

Hi,

We have had a heavy duty Powrtouch for over three years (switched from "old" van) and have not had one single problem since fitting.

My only slight concern is that it is very slow when compared with others we have seen, I assume that is a function of the heavy duty gearing.

We do not use it that often, but when we do it is invaluable, knowing it is there boosts my reversing confidence, so I don't use it.

Well I have just ordered a power touch mover Mk3 £799-00 (fitted) , best price I could find. I asked them to match the Ryno mover at £699-00 which they did but £100-00 fitting I know its not the deal of the day with some of the prices people have had but its the best I could find

Well - ours is fitted and working - DH said it was easy to fit. He put the switch in the battery compartment so he didn't have to cut a whole in the side of the van. Our caravan has been in and out of the drive several times and I am looking forward to not having to try and heave it onto the driveway next time we return from our camping trip. We should have fitted one ages ago - and would have done if we had realised you could get them as cheaply as this - I thought we would be looking at nearly a grand to add a mover. So far so good!
Thanks to all for all the helpful advice & tips

If you want it to position your caravan when on sites or if your storage site / home is on a small slope or has loose ground / grass , then i'd say your making a mistake , these jocky wheel type movers are best suited to firm level ground / tarmac . Is this the item Click_here
