Well after a few weeks tyres are being fitted tomorrow.

I got Trailermaxx (same as the original fitting), 195/70R14 96N cost - £44.79 each fitted and balanced by a mobile fitter at the storage site so saves messing about with a trolley jack and axle stands as well.

I have just had one of these fitted.  The tyre fitter said if the balance wasn't bad its better not to add balance weights as they can cause seal leakage.  I had to have weights added because the balance was too far out.

just a thought,as we all are trying to find caravan tyres of recommended sizes as used when first new,and non to be found.has anyone contacted bailey to see if a different size can be used with safety???? i will not buy federal or matador because of bad press and what i have read on here.

tyres i have now as fitted by bailey are TRAILERMAXX.for matador tyres....see

I had to renew my Bailey pagent MTPLM 1360 tyres last year size was trailor maxx 195/70/14R the only ones available were Matador & with their ongoing poor reputation I would not fitt them I contacted Bailey for approval & fitted AVON  supervan 185/14c 101 rating(185/8014c) as fitted to the Senator Arizona & oklahoma I was told that all bailey wheel archs are the same & after several thousand miles I am very pleased

this tyre gives me a far greater margin of safety both in load &speed   50psi

If you go to this website you will see that the original tyre at 42psi carrying a load of 1360kg was very near the mark in % of safety factor so much so its in the red
