We've never been asked either what make our van is,and if we were refused a booking on the basis of what kind of van we have,then i wouldnt want to pitch on such a site anyway.There's plenty of other sites around who's owners will welcome you instead of looking down their noses at you.Snooty buggers.

Never been asked about make of van or what side the door is on!

Never had a problem on any CC Site or Commercial site!

If we did we would take our "custom" somewhere else!

I have just spent two weeks at Pembrey CC site and I have a continental door. This was NOT a problem we just reversed the order so as you looked at the pitch marker we were awning/caravan/car instead of Car/caravan/awning. The wardens did not say that this was a problem at all. I have a Caravelair and its fabulous little van.

Give that site amiss then!

As the previous entry just reverse the side the awning car are on.

It just means your neighbours on your awning side will have their awning facing yours, instead of looking at our car when sat in their awning they have the pleasure of looking at us!

But then the door will be at the back and clippety clop will keep moving around so there won't be a safe 3m space all around it and what if clippety clop bites somebody.Also where are you going to put the sky dish??

Perhaps i have misled people ! they ask on their email booking form what make of caravan you have ! but we have never been refused because of the continental door issue !

We pitched our caravan on a part seasonal pitch and came back the following week to find another seasonal caravaner had moved next door to us. It was a Hobby and our doors opened out facing each other. The problem of this only arose when we wanted to put our awning up. The two awnings were a foot apart, lol. I will be aware of this in the future.

I always fancied turning up at a site with a traction engine towing a living caravan, the Fred Dibnah type. Should be a sight to see the look on the "holiday site manager's" face on a CCC site.
