Always travel with the blinds up, like to see through the van when on the move, nov02 when do you leave rose farm, we will be down there on the 6th of Sept for two weeks(again) we do like the place.
used to travel with them closed to stop the nosey people but when we got to site once some had half opened so thought we might damage them so now travel with them open.leave them closed in storage though to stop the sun damage to the seats etc.

You must all think we have something to hide now! I dont mind who looks at our porch awning and folding chairs and me B&Q barbeque... there's nothing more sinister in there ... honest! lol
We are relative newbies to all this (only got our first van last year) and I hadnt thought of the glare issue. Will leave them open in future,
We keep them open and have a through view. Why are people nosey for having a look Shogun?? They are just admiring your van!! I love nebbing at all the vans on the road, old and new, big and small!!

I just like to keep what's mine, mine. I don't fancy every passing truck driver and coach passenger making comments about my upholstery (or the van's, either!)

Closed when towing and storing, keeps the inside cooler and stops upholstery fading. Actually we have the front curtains pulled across whilst towing and not the blinds because the sun's reflection can be a problem.
i was thinking when i responed with mine being open id be one of a few, shows what i know, how come most vans i see have either blinds or curtains shut, must never be out the same times as you lot.
my last post had words missing , what i meant was a cuboard or your fridge could have opened with the blinds up you will see in your mirror , and yes it has happened to me!
Curtains and blinds open when towing. Curtains shut in storeage (to avoid fading of interior furnishings). Close blinds only at night time when using caravan. Usually always leave awning curtains open - just can't be bothered to close them!
Closed at home open when towing unless it is sunny then they are closed as it keeps it cooler inside, never had a problem with springs on any of our vans and even if you had to replace all the blinds complete it is a fraction of the price of new upholstery, curtains carpets etc.
