Thank you Dreadnought. We have placed several "wanted" ads about a few days ago now, however, we have not had one reply, this is dispite saying we have upto £2000 cash available for the right van, we dont think we are asking too much, all we have asked for is min age '92, 4/5 berth and no damp, leak or soft spots. We would have liked at least one reply.
Probably a little early in the year for people about to sell caris.People are waiting for spring and holding out for better money. If you dont mind travelling to view a van,why not consider putting an ad in papers in other areas. Our local paper has free wanteds. It may help with your search if you broaden your horizons as to where you are willing to travel.Whatever you do,dont buy a bad one in haste. Its enough to put you off caravans for life.

I feel it's bad manners to have you travelling a way to view a van and then for them to tell you it is sold.We have sold quite a few cars and a couple of vans privately in the past . If somebody says they are on their way to view and have made arrangements with us then we would hold it until they had seen it. If anybody else wanted to view we would arrange for them to see it after the people who were coming had viewed. We would tell them that we would let them know if it had been sold. It's always worked for us.
Try putting a wanted on Preloved and renew it regularly to keep it near the top of the list.We wanted an Isabella awning and everyone we went after was sold before we got there. We had two calls resulting from our Preloved ad and got fixed up with a lovely awning at a reasonable price.
Thanks for giving options on where to advertise, we have now placed an ad on here to go with our ads on internet and papers, so if anyone can help, get intouch.
