"One other thing I would like to add....having been on a caravan towing course, I was taught to check the hitch each time before setting off. After you hitch up, before you stow the jockey wheel, try winding it up just a few turns (not too much!!). The caravan should lift the car slightly. Once you are confident of a secure hitch, take up the jockey wheel and stow it away."
Jump in car and drive away and a mile or so up the road stop and put the mirrors on!!!!!!
