if not mentioned before you still need an HD ready tv do you not? need to check ours.

Good point Michael. Does anyone connect their HD Plus box to a NON HD ready TV if so do you use a Scart lead as the Sky box single HD cable would be redundant?

I asked our HD installer if I needed 2 cables into van but he said no. There is a Single cable option you can access through 'Services'. Naturally I guess your recordings would be limited to one channel.

Our caravan TV is not HD ready and I would prefer to continue with it rather than the expense of a HD replacement.

Hi we leave all at home apart from laptop and then stream the Sky programs and films from the sky+ box or the media centre pc (using streaming over the internet or a Slingbox) with all films and music on to the laptop in the caravan via the wifi network using a 3G or O2 dongle. it works 95.0% of the time with the 3G or O2 signal being the most problematic. On longer Holidays we take the sat dish tv and box and connect up. Beats messing with a directional ariel trying to get a digi signal.

I watch my FULL Sky subscription inc premium channels on a non sky box while in the Caravan. I only have to take the card out of the Sky box and Pop it in the Sat box in the caravan.

Our Tesco special is HD compliant so no issues there. If not, a scart lead should suffice.
