they are LED`s claire,with a flashing sequence selecter like xmas tree lights,the LED`s are water proof but the plugs wer`nt,so I exstended the cable so the plugs and flasher box are under cover in the awning.

I'll pass that on, we were discusing while sat in our awning the other night, I told them you had lights on your pole and my OH said they'd be solar power but our friends said they sound like they were Christmas lights.
