My bedding (duvet set) is red with white polka dots on one side and red and white gingham on the other. It goes with my other stuff and it was from Ebay for £12.99.

Are people just talking about bedding for a fixed bed? I am just wondering if anyone goes to the same effort with the beds that you take down during the day? I'd love to have everything matching and looking nice but all the kids bunks and our double bed get taken down during the day time and all the bedding stowed underneath which is probably why I've not bothered and 'made do'. I can see it would be worthwhile for a fixed bed though.

I think you are more likely to buy coordinated bedding with a fixed bed than a made up bed, we certainly have this time even though our bed doesn't have to be on show

On the last caravan with made up beds we used a duvet and sheets but not necessarily matching.

Only once have I used a sleeping bag in a caravan, I lasted about 10 minutes inside it before unzipping it and using it as a thin duvet - sleeping bags are for tents not caravans

Our van has blue upholstry, fixed bunks, a lounge that turns into a bed and a side dinettte that turns into bunks. All our bedding matches the upholstry excepting the kids duvet cover which are predictably in the theme of their favorite super-heroes! Matching looks nice but no real big deal - comfort must be more important than style, especially when nobody except you is going to see it (hopefully)!

I'm talking about a non-fixed bed. I am obsessed with everything coordinating - having the look I want, but there are only two of us in it, and it's a very small caravan.

I bought a lovely new bedding set especially for my caravan, it picks out the green from the interior and is from next.  My pillows are very expensive at £50 each but make so much difference to my nights sleep that they are worth it.  As the bed is a fixed bed with a corner missing I simply tuck the duvet under and it looks perfect, no need to get the sewing machine out.  I keep this bedding specially for the van but for the childrens fixed bunk beds I lift their beiind straight off their beds at home.

I assume that by 'proper' bedding you mean the co-ordianting stuff thats seen in the brochure pictures.  I can understand why you'd want it as you've just spent £x on your beautiful new caravan and you want everything to look perfect.

Don't worry about grumpy people on here, sometimes they forget that your caravan is just that, 'Yours'!!! And who says you have to rough it in an old army surplus tent and scratchy old sleeping bag to camp.  I think that is total snobbery! LOL!
