Asda Smart Price plates at £4.00 for a set of four, real china. Wine glasses, Asda Smart price at £1 for 4, real glass. Mugs for tea, real china, from somewhere not Asda, price unknown. If any of the above break, totally disposable. Caravan came with a full set of melamine stuff that we have left in the van in case of emergencies.
Melamine set for us but no cups, we have silver aluminium (total metal no plastic) cups which are unbreakable and keep the tea hot very well.. For beer and wine we have polycarbonate pint and wine glasses (the type you somtimes find in nightclubs) doesn't effect the taste IMO and totally unbreakable great with little ones

I think we must be the odd ones out because we use tin plates, you know the stove enameled ones, their very light and very durable, can get them off the sunday market for about a quid each, but do have to have a couple of plastic tubs for microwave. We do have croc cups for tea and glass for wine and beer though. Doesn't taste the same otherwise.

Snap! I tend to use tin, but I do have various different sets in all sorts of materials including melamine.
