I've read all through this thread and I've decided to stick to buying it the traditional way. I've had one Calor lite bottle for almost two years and it's only just running out. On the other hand, the Calor lite bottle I use for the Cadac is almost out after 9 months. My teenage daughter who used to say, 'Are we barbecueing tonight Dad?' now says 'Are we Cadacing tonight Dad?' Perhaps I have to curb my Cadacing?
I get a 11kg refill for £22 from cheshire gas. According to the conversion table on the ebay item thats a refill of 22 litres of gas. So cheshire gas are charging me £1 per litre. I like it because i just turn up and exchange the bottle, pay and go.
They use there own bottles, so i have to return to them each time, but thats the only downfall.

For me the adapters are worth it as I use a lot of gas as I am rarely on hookup. I use a lot less in the summer but some weekends in the winter the gas fire is never off if I'm not on hookup so works out better for me. I know the issue of overfilling keeps being mentioned but if you don't overfill it then it aint a problem in my eyes. Also someone on here made a very good point that whats the difference between filling your car or a gas bottle?? Hit the nail on the head for me there! There isn't any.
