Quote: To the above campsite owner, in 40 odd years of camping, I have never seen anyone take their dog into either a kitchen or a toilet area and if I did, I would have sharp words with them, never mind the site owner!
As to the rest of their problems, well banning them is the only way to go as charging is hardly going to make any difference.
Have to agree with this.

It's just a case of dogs v anti dogs.We have a little dog and if we don't want to pay then we don't. Simple! There are many great sites which accept dogs for free.I can understand site owners charging and that is their prerogative. If you don't like paying then just don't go.

Agree

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
It's a matter of personal choice, as most people seem to agree. I pay for my dog, but I also often pay for being a lone camper. A lot of sites don't give a discount for one person pr pitch. It's my choice to go where I want, rather than have the hassle of searching for a site that charges pr person or doesn't charge for my furry friend. I do however object to dog owners who don't clean up after their dogs. What ever happened to 'leave only your footprints'
I have to agree with you Tags. Recently I was on a THS and the poor volunteer stewards were having to check the field each day as some unscrupulous owners let their dogs leave excreta on the field where children were playing and people were walking. Having an Aquaroll smeared in dog S**t is not a good start to the day. Yes I love dogs, it is certain dog owners who I would rather not have on site. When lone camping I can choose to pay the same as a family to stay on a site that is in the area I want, but I can not choose to avoid thoughtless morons who let their dogs foul the sites. To those that say they always clear up if the dog leaves a calling card on the site - how do you clear up an nice runny one from a dog that probably has diarrhoea? Yes it happens!

i think a small charge is fair to pay for the upkeep of dog walks poo bins and emptying them.
everyone has a choice , dont want to pay for the dog then dont go to the site that charges for it.

Agree. We have noticed more and more though that children are walking dogs around sites and not clearing up after them.

i am very sorry but they do, and into the shower area, and on several occasions its got so bad that i am going to have to put a sign up telling them not to, most people dont but in the last 2 weeks we have had 2 dog owners that do
