We swapped our 2003 Bailey Ranger for a brand new van this year. Love the new van, great to spend time in and great to tow, but do we enjoy touring in the new van more than in the old one? no not really. It's the people, campsite and the areas we visit that make the holidays great, not the van.

Had anew van and was always concerned it would get damaged , marked, nicked, extra insurance , storage etc.. and it did not get used as much as i thought it would.
I now have an older van and can do everything that the new van allowed me to do, i keep it at a local farm and dont worry about it too much, low insurance cost and if it needs repair i do a DIY job, eventually we might sell but it only cost me £1k and has everything , even a bigger bathroom than my old one - oh yes and its lighter so easier to tow.
We have an old Landy Disco car and thats even paid for too
Would i go back to a new van ? only if one was given to me so thats not going to happen!
The bed on my old caravan is also bigger and stronger than the new one
