The smaller waste containers wouldn't suit my needs as we get through 40L of waste water as day so using 2 would mean 2 trips. Plus I'd then need to get a trolley to carry the waster water as walking any distance with 20KG isn't fun.
The wastehog suits me as I can put the cassette on it and kill two birds with one stone and just once per day.
We've never used a super pitch before but I am aware of them. I don't mind the daily water duties if the site have provisions for them. Infact I quite enjoy them as the water tap is usually a way of chatting to your neighbours.
All very interesting with peoples views on how to dispose. I'll likely use a drain or hedge row depending on the site and won't be lifting it up to the elsan point anymore.
Oh and I know what Jerry+Tina mean about those who don't have a waste container and let it just drain. Last year we were at a site with concrete pitches for the van. Guy pulls up and had just bought the caravan. Had no clue but more importantly no aquaroll or waste containers in fact not even a winder for the legs. He just let the waste pour onto the concrete and after a few days in the hot sun it stank and way attracting flies.
I am glad others have noticed this too. I have been on a couple of sites where it was suggested that we lift the Wastemaster onto the toilet disposal point. Hence we don't use those sites anymore1
When we go to France (and we normally book sites with really good facilities, we have noticed the distinct lack of grey water waste drains. They will often have water standpipes on the pitches or nearby with no drain below it.
I have noticed though that on many of the European sites, they normally let the grey water drain away naturally, often into a small gulley behind the pitch.
This must be the norm in Europe because I cannot recall seeing hardly any caravans other than UK vans using Wastemasters or Waterhogs or similar?

Most continental vanners use very little water in their vans, so they only have very small waste water containers.
We too have found a distinct lack of proper grey water provision abroad, often we use the MH point if it is nearby. Or water the hedges if the site says this is OK.
We have however found more serviced pitches abroad than here....which is strange considering they use so little water! But we have yet to see a continental van fully hooked up to the services. Mainly they just use the tap to fill a kettle or jug.
When we set up on a serviced pitch with our mains to Aquaroll connection and our pipe to the drain, we get a lot of people stopping to look.
If the site allows it there is nothing wrong with emptying waste water into hedgerow etc Any bits of food (and there shouldn't be much if you scrape plates and pots properly) will be picked up and eaten by wildlife or will just decompose naturally,

I quite agree ,any foods will just decompose , after all people put decomposed animal crap on the garden , its just given a better sounding name , its called manure ,
