Another thing i thought about is as its Caravan Club does that mean no tent? Its just a couple of times when we had are tent a few friends somtimes used to pop down with there tent and join us.

No, some CC sites do allow tents (on a quick flick through the sites directory perhaps about a quarter of them?). Although in some cases there may only be one or two pitches, on other sites there is a whole field set aside for them. If you were a member of the CC and only occassionally wanted to bring along your tent friends then it would probably work as long as you weren't too choosy about which site to go to but I'm not sure you would be able to pitch alongside them (pitches are non reservable and first come first served). However if you're aiming to have tents accompany you a lot then yes the C&CC is a better bet and as the pitches are allocated by the Holiday Site Manager (aka warden) there is a chance you could all be pitched together as on many sites the tents can be pitched in with the vans.
Something else which is standard on all CC sites is that provided it is pitched within your pitch you can erect a small tent to be used only as sleeping accommodation. So if your friends came and put up a reasonable sized tent and shared your facilities during the day the whole network becomes available to you.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
