Well at least we now have an answer for that perennial question about why sites charge extra for dogs even though they don't provide any facilities.
It's to pay for the extra cost of drying their towels.

Next time I won't use the heater I'll put them in the dryer, be very popular then wouldn't I
British winter = wet weather + big dog = wet towels, week away + wet towels = stink if not dried.

It doesn't bother me how you dry your towels. But you do get lots of folks moaning about having to pay extra for dogs when a site doesn't provide any dog facilities.
Anyway, you did say that you use a halogen heater for drying towels. I would think that you'd be better off drying them by placing them directly over an oil filled radiator - some thing like this.
