If it's an Alko chassis that being a Knaus it probably is then they are bolted up and their website says quite clearly it is so components can be changed if necessary.
Don't understand how such sweeping statements as are coming out here can be made without even seeing the thing let alone examining it.

I would question where the bend starts? If the chassis twisted the the appearance will be on the A frame but simply u bolting the a frame and putting new sections in is not going to straighten a chassis that is twisted further back. In simple terms without the correct jig and other bits you can not check this so no way would I even consider it.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
