I’ve now tried several different toilet chemicals and bought a new cassette as part of a freshen up kit. I still finds the chemicals unpleasant. I know it’s the chemicals and not the contents as when I open up the bottle, that’s when it hits me. I have not got a weak stomach, I was a nurse, after that, nothing bothers you!
I have heard of a newish one, something beginning with a s - like sorb?? Does anyone recognise the name and if so, have you used it? My husband thinks I’m insane as he has no sense of smell! I have loads of bottles of chemicals at home which I can’t use. Perhaps he is right and I just need to get on with it!
Have you tried Nature Calls from Blue Diamond? Much better fragrance than most, rather pine woodland scent. And use the Zoflora in the top tank, makes the bathroom smell nice and prevents black bits!

The fact is that caravan toilets do discreetly get peed in occassionally when they are out of sight of the salesperson or any other people wishing to view
Why do people do this? Surely, the basin is a better height, especially for blokes. Far less chance of getting it all over the floor.
On a serious note; is there a smell when just opening the outside flap? If so, its all in the base of the compartment. If not, its coming from the cassette, so an easy fix.

There is a new to the market one advertised in the latest CC magazine called Solbio could that be it?
Not used it as very happy with Elsan Organic.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
i've been experimenting this year with using different products, as it appears to me using my usual products (towsure blue or aldi blue) have lost their potency, and even when putting some in the tank i can tell they are much more "watery" than they used to be.
ive used the bio wash tabs, and they really clean the tank, also bleach they both work, regarding smell up to a point but they do not desolve the paper, so now i'm trying several squirts of bleach, mixed with towsure blue and a half litre of water, then shake it about before using.
seems to be working, emptying on third day just the two of us with no site facilities
This year we decided to try the camperlife toilet fluid, and I have to say that in relation to smell, it is the least offensive of all the chemicals we have tried over the years. They make the fluid in several fragrances so you can find one that suits you. We tried the ‘Dark Cherry’ scent and find it pretty good. It works really well at breaking down toilet paper and you only use a teeny amount compared to other brands as it is highly concentrated so the bottle last for a very long time.
Thanks folks, glad it’s not just me. I will have a look at the camperlife stuff but will also give the bio liquid a go. Do you use it in the flush too?

Was the fluid I put the link for the stuff you were trying to get the name for?
