Both Caravan Clubs have been busy taking bookings for July and August, although they may restrict capacity.
I think my plan to stay near home and be self sufficient is acceptable.
In anything we do in life , there will be “what ifs”, judgements have to be made or one would not have a life.
We have decided that we would not go to the coast, B &Q , Garden Centres, Aldi, Lidl, or any local shopping centre etc.
We walk in the park and locally and I cycle a bit.
Shop once a week.
I think we are sensible.

Sorry if I'm being a bit pedantic, but the Caravan Club is now the Caravan and Motorhome Club, Camping and Caravanning Club is the other club.

I stand corrected but the point was that at least one of the Club is for tenters as well!!

The other thing that worries me is that when we are eventually allowed to legally pursue our hobby again (be it caravan, motorhome or tent), how welcoming are certain UK tourist spots going to be? I mean to cast no aspersions here but there are certain areas popular with us lot that have been fairly vociferous of their dislike for our ilk. I can't see this current situation improving their view of us and it could make our long awaited summer(?) holidays quite uncomfortable.

I think that is most likely right, unfortunately. In my own mind I have written it off anyway.

Still, with this fabulous weather I have spent most of the morning in the garden. Lying on my sun-lounger if I shut my eyes I could have been in Spain or Greece. Only really came in for some lunch and to cool off a bit. And to cool our dog down. He never wants to be far from us, and he was lying in the sun panting furiously.

Tomorrow is forecast to be even hotter!
