I guess the mods cannot show bias towards or against a particular company but it is up to the individual to do the research and make their mind up as to who they want to use?  Litigation, litigation, litigation!

Judging by the amount of adverse copy that I have read over the years about this company, I wonder that they are still in business.

It's amazing how the public is seduced into parting with its money by smooth talking words and "attractive" prices.

It can't seem to grasp that we are living in a culture where you only get what you pay for - there's no such thing as a free lunch.

I think it must be because their leaflets are inside virtually every caravan mag you pick up and the unsuspecting see it and think "wow, that looks good".  UKCS is what, 90,000 members strong, yet the caravanning fraternity is massive so the good, bad and ugly doesn't reach the majority particularly given the age demographics of caravanners.  Please don't jump on me for that comment as I know there are more and more silver surfers, not all caravanners are fifty plus etc etc but a would bet a huge number of caravanners don't have net access.

We have always found the NFU very competative, and very fair when we had to make a claim on a 3 week old caravan for hailstone damage ( In France ) they paid up without a quibble and our premiums did not rise in fact they came down quite a bit the following year which I was very suprised at!

Ali,

I think that a major problem is that there are many caravan owners who don't take any of the caravaning magazines. Some of the questions asked on here are routinely featured almost every month in one or other of the caravan and/or camping magazines.

I'm certainly not going to jump on you for your comments but there are millions who have internet access, if not at home then certainly at work and it is growing on a daily basis with us silver surfers being one of the fastest growing groups. When I was working full time in the advertising industry up until April 2003, the internet was fast overtaking TV and radio as an advertising medium and that was four years ago. It will have moved on significantly since then. Just one aspect of this expansion is the fact that you can now access the internet via your mobile phone. How good is that?

Cheers!

Vic

Yep maybe so Vic, don't know what they are missing eh and probably explains why so many are driving inappropriate outfits in an inappropriate manner!

I can't imagine life without the net now.  Sad huh.
