Just because its Vauxhall then any slight problem is shouted from the rooftops and it all stems from the 50's when some muppets decided that Vauxhall's rusted badly, ok maybe they did, but so did every other car of the period! To be honest many other vehicles carried on falling victim to the tin worm, such as sir Henry's , for many years after Vauxhall got it right but is that shouted from the rooftops? No! .....

Quite true; My father had a Vauxhall Wyvern in the early 60's and a friend had a Wyvern followed by a Cresta - good reliable cars.... my first car in 1977 (late starter!) was a Chevette, followed by Mk2 Cavalier, followed by Ford Orion (soon rid of), followed by Mk3 Cavalier, which I kept for 12 years! Only the Chevette was susceptible to rust (on the easily replaceable front wings); the others were fine and all great for towing the van! I think Vauxhalls are great (although I've just this year gone to Skoda...)! (Oh - and son's first two cars were Chevette and Astra...no complaints from him, either!)

Hi

I'm glad there are others besides myself who like Vauxhall's, in fact I like them so much I run a club for them. If you want to have a look at our website then feel free.

www.vauxhallopeldriversclub.co.uk

There is also a yahoo forum connected to the club where you can post messages about vauxhall's and opel's to other like minded people as well and anyone can join and its totally free!

Any way thats enough of selling my wares but if you do want more info on the club just visit the website and follow the e-mail link.

Well said Rabb-uk

Your link to Frontera owners forum was very valuable and saved us a bit of money!!

The people were really helpful and friendly. Might even go to a rally aswell, fancy some off roading.

My advice to all Frontera Owners is to keep the value for money Frontera a secret The price will then stay reasonable, and we'll have a great 4x4 that looks the buisness, at a lot less expense.

This is our first 4x4, my last car was a Jaguar XJ6.

When my husband said we'd need a more cost effective car to tow our Caravan with, he started looking at the Pajero's as he'd heard how reliable they were. Then we heard scare stories about them. For our budget we could only get a M or N reg, most of them looked like a farmer had used them daily and smelt like it as well. One dealer told us it was Japanese Coffee spilt in the boot, more like dog mess!!!.

I wanted a car that was practical for towing but also to use on a daily basis. (it had to look good aswell). We brought a W reg, Silver Frontera Sport RS Dti SWB, with leather interior tinted windows. The fuel comsumption is fantastic aswell.

Miss my Jag, but love my Frontera.
