Hi. Just an update. Still haven't managed to do a little test run, but maybe this weekend. BUT, have booked 10 nights away at Stowford Farm Meadows at the end of June, daughter is now in possesion of a Vancouver 10 tent, and has booked the same week, so wish me luck

Thanks to all

ps. Simon, hubby is going to change that damper you mentioned. Has looked at it, and it is obvious it is the original (1999), so a new one might help eh!

Excuse me SilverLiving?

If you read all the of the thread properly, I love caravanning. The circumstances at the time led to the upset!

Its just as well that there are people on here who are very supportive, and not just point blank rude like yourself

Many many people here have taken the time to help me with support and expert advice, and you just come along with an off the cuff, inconsiderate reply, trying to undo all the good that folk have done for me over many weeks. Why?

I have read the thread--& the above is fair comment-they wernt being rude & nor am I--learn by your mistakes--you now know what caused the incident-& now you have more knowlege it shouldnt happen again-If you read your cars handbook you will see fully laden tyre pressures-max gross weight(ie max weight of car +load), towbar imposedload(nose weight) & also axle weights--you need to check your caravans nose weight(70-80kg) before you set off-you can buy a device for this from your caravan shop-or jus put the jockey wheel on bathroom scales-when its all loaded--if it looks wrong-it probaley is--driving technique--too many people pull caravans--like they drive their car solo--weavin in & out of traffic--towin at 70mph+--on a busy motorway jus drive with the trucks at 55mph--confidence comes from setting out knowin yer outfit is all trimmed & legal--yer tyre pressures are right--you can do it-have fun--

Hello Billy. Thankyou for your reply. The reason I said that SilverLiving was rude was because of the way his post was worded. It seemed very sharp, and emphisied with an exclaimation point, as though he were shouting at me for being stupid.

I came on here to ask for advice, so that this incident doesn't occur again, so I AM trying to "learn by my mistakes" as you put it.

I intend to take on board everything that people here kindly advised, including yourself, and am now looking forward to getting back to many happy trips away in the van.

I apologise if anyone else took offence to my reply to SilverLiving, but I felt his response could have been less aggressive, or maybe even if he thought I was a silly mare, his opinion should have been witheld altogether. Quite often I myself might read some posts and think, "daft bugger", but I wouldn't dream of calling them that, or insinuating it on a public forum, it,s just plain rude.

Thanks to all

I think you are looking too deeply, tone is hard to convey in text, I saw nothing wrong in the reply, but hey ho!
