Hi, robin52 Thanks for the info, the Utimate 260 is one I shall look at. I have found all the help and comments very useful as we hope the finally choose and purchase next month. Thanks again to everyone, I shall let you know which one we purchase. Regards Dave
We had a 390 bought for us as a present from my parents and was so disappointed in it, it was quite windy to be fair when we first tried it but was so awkward to put up, we tried the following day in totally calm weather and although it was quicker it took ages to get the tension right plus it doesnt fit to the sides so the dogs would be out in a second and was flapping like mad.
Dad was on about making something to try and get it to hold to the sides of the van but with all the fiddling it seemed pointless so we took it back and got a 2nd hand isabella off eBay and LOVE it, totally secure, tight and is up in 30 mins start to finish!

hi robin we have purchased the ulitma 260 at the malvern show this weekend from fourways leisure group. it took me when we got back to the ite ar blackmoore about 15mins from putting it around the rail to pegging down, with the rain as well this weekend it dident leak as well we wont go back to a full awning as thease are light weight and easy to put up yourself.
we have an older model Contempo - now updated for 2008 with two different models, one appearing larger than the other. It's a great awning, easy to put up/take down, plenty of room inside, and no annoying curve away from the van reducing your headroom.
