"this is the last one done by the CC, note the number of responses from Bailey owners compared to other makes. This would indicate there are far more Bailey owners out there than other makes, and in turn this would mean that they would have more unhappy clients on these forums."
Snowy, unless I have misread the data you posted, there seems to be more Swift Group responses than Bailey. A new survey would make interesting reading and I wonder how the recession has affected the number of complaints as people hang onto their 'vans for longer.

Yes but when people post about their vans they tend to say "I have damp in my Ace, Abbey, Sterling, Swift" not "my Swift group van" so I was taking the figures from the main table where it was split into each brand rather than lumping Swift's brands into one figure. Bailey had in excess of 800 responses, and Swift 590.
I'm confused Michael, how many people are in receipt of a faulty Pegasus so far? The ones being looked at in dealers etc can't be judged because some are prototypes and others have probably been thrown together for demos. Give 'em a chance to roll them out, be used for a couple of years and THEN judge surely?
Production of the Pegasus must be in "full swing" as I have seen lots of them on transporters in the Bristol area on there way to dealers over the last week or so.

do not agree, bailey are the worlds largest caravan builders and have the experience of building a van like no other can.my argument is not the way it was built but the fact it was not built as it should be.i have been to shows where knobs and bits are falling off on various vans and its a big turn off.you should make your samples perfect however big they are.just my opinion mind.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
don't think you can judge the product until it has been in normal use like any other van.
used to send sample assemblies to America and they were tested and inspected to the full before going out.the size of the switch or panel of switches was irrelevant.reliability / fix / fit / and finish were all quality issues that are addressed before leaving.if i was spendind £15,000 plus think i would be the most fussy customer ever.

We took some friends who caravan to our local dealer today and the first impression was water in the handles
Bailey have posted on another forum that its nothing to worry about but it gives very poor first impression that colours the view of the rest of the van

yes we noticed condensation on the led handles as well...apparently its all waterproof though and wont affect the operation of the lights.mmm, we`ll see !!
Hi,
We have just been to look at the pegasus, It looked a nice van, but for me I thought there wasn't enough work surface, and where do you put your cup of tea without getting out the table?
artic
You have to buy the centre set of drawers as an extra as I have done in my present Bordeaux. So the tea/coffee goes on there!. or on the wide ledge at the front........ and the work top is opposite the kitchen.
I think maybe the first manufacturer to produce a 3-4 bedroomed 2 bathroomed, van with a living room, dining area and large fitted kitchen on a single axle weighing in at a maximum of 950kg fully laden and which comes with a lifetime guarantee on everything WILL be on to a winner, especially when the price is revealed as PAY WHAT YOU THINK IT'S WORTH.
If you found faults with the pegasus at the show ,that's a bad sign. You don't think the range would be put on show without a good inspection before it left Bristol do you? These models would have been better than any off there production line.
