I've had to increase the nose height as water still coming in.

Trouble is this makes the air vents at the top of the front a possible bigger water ingress point !.

Wife now saying can we trust the factory to repair it properly or will it be pump the joints full of mastic and hope it is out of warranty before it re-occurs !

Still 11 days till it goes into the factory !.

If it was my van, I to would be asking for a replacement van or a full £ refund. I wonder if anyone from Dunster House reads this forum?

Jockey wheel now at its full extent, it will have to be on block's next.

Hope it stays dry for taking it back to the factory as we're spending 2 nights in it on the way down. Probably have to put the seating into bin liners to keep them dry or we'll be getting wet bums !.

7 days till the factory !

Greetings Mawkwind from a fellow Aberdonian.  More rain last night and today eh?

Not good news for any of us but worse in your situation.  If you don't get a successful outcome from your complaint, (and I agree with others about a full refund by the way) I for one will never again consider one of these otherwise attractive caravans.

Suggest you consult Consumer Protection people on your rights and print off the thread to take with you.  This is seriously bad publicity for the company who have to pull out all the stops (or fill the holes) to sort your complaint.  It has been read 3280 times by potential buyers!

 Thanks for that.

I'll have to see what their response is going to be. Its been difficult with the whole company shutting down for two weeks !.

Do you know if Consumer Protection laws are the same in Scotland and England ?. As I could have to complain down there if I don't get satisfaction !.

I quite liked the look of these 'vans. Until I read this thread! No no noo! Not with a barge pole. I'll put my money somewhere else when I next change 'van.

Hope your story has a happy ending.

Can we assume that you bought the caravan in England and that the transaction, i.e. contracts were all done in England. If so then there is a good chance you are covered by English law. Check with the Trading Standards nearest to where you bought it from.

Yes, you will be covered by the law of England (and Wales).

Well,

putting it nose up made no difference to the rain getting in !. Biggest problem now is getting the towels dried in this weather !.

Big concerns now about the other seals if the same person(s) built it !.

6 days to the factory !.

Mawkwind has the patience of Job as I would have lost it long ago and demanded a full refund. Makes you wonder if any other Stealth caravan owners have the same problem? Maybe it should be called a Steal caravan from Dumbo House!

Distance is the problem and also getting past their Customer Services to talk to anyone with 'Tourer' experience !.

No use getting het up with no outlet for it. It's taking me all my time to stop the wife flying off the handle !.

How about posting a few pics? Not just of the water leaks but just interested to see the inside of one...

I'll have a look don't think you'll see much with the towels in place. There is no staining yet !

As I've said previously we really like the van but this one appears to have been a 'Friday' model.

Wife got a phone call from Stealth's new Head of Customer Services, The Managing Director is not happy that we are not happy and stated that we will get 'the caravan we paid for'.

We'll have to wait and see what that means though !.

5 days to factory touchdown.
