The warden just shook his head and said "this is why we have the 'leave by noon' rule".
Many sites also have narrow approach roads and two caravans simply wouldn't be able to pass each other.
I dont understand the problem people have with the leave by noon rule. If you stay at a hotel, B&B or self catering accommodation, they too have a rule as to what time you must leave and when you can arrive. Its the only way they can ensure that accommodation is available when new guests arrive and they have had the time to clean up. Why should a caravan site be any different?
Nice one Sarah, there are rules for about everything and they are there for a reason. If you know how things work and then work within those parameters life works so much better. That applies to just about everything.

agree fully, from my experience the road or roads leading to any of the sites are at best very narrow.when you can have up to 100 caravans and motorhomes arriving in one afternoon (quote from a warden) all going one way there is no room for caravans leaving.as happened at keswick this week.this is the reason for the before noon ruling.at york its 11 am to leave.for this reason i support it as i do not want my van damaged by another on the way out.at keswick i had to pass one as we went in within a half inch of the windows touching guided by the warden.i have also seen main roads blocked by caravans lined up because of a blockage lower down the site road.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Back to the children debate.... We had four children under five (all grown up now) however they were our burden not others...I was strict on them when out and about but everywhere we went we had nothing but compliments about them....they never went without and always lived life to the full but were considerate to others..... I see no problem with some site within any of the clubs having adult only sites as long as it is published up front so everyone knows the score before booking (it strikes me as this is the norm anyhow)
