No bags for us and they go in the shower when travelling........guess we must be mucky/ scruffy.

I have been tempted over an insulated bag for the Aqua roll but never been tempted enough to buy.

Probably not, Madz. We clean our containers thoroughly before putting them away in the van - not in a bag. Personally, I think this is better than leaving a dirty container in a bag. Do you not think that a warmer smaller enclosed area (i.e. a bag) with a less than clean container, is more likely to breed nasties?

We have got into the habit of cleaning everything as we are packing up. I even Clean the hook up cable before it goes in its canvas bag. We also wash the pegs before putting them away in their bag. Then when we get home I clean the inside of the van and back in storage. When we bring out of storage I clean the outside ready to go away.

I always clean the hook up cable, but I do draw a line at pegs. Most of our pegs are metal and I don't believe they wash as well as the plastic ones. We keep our pegs in an airtight plastic box. If any dirt does get into the box, we just tip it out. When the pegs get past their sell by date I just throw them and buy some more. Relatively speaking they are not too expensive. Everytime I go the the camping shop I come back with three or four pegs.

Whilst I quite enjoy setting up, I detest the process of packing away.  It's a personal thing, but if I had to add washing cables and pegs to that process, It would probably tip me over the edge.

When I say we clean the electric cable, we don't make a major fuss. Wife reels it in and as she reels I have a large piece of kitchen roll which I hold wrapped around the wire. As she reels it in the cable just slides through the kitchen roll and it wipes it dry and clean. If it's really dirty (rare), then I sometimes need to replace the kitchen roll half way through. For added variety, sometimes when we pack up, we swap roles.

I agree though. Packing up is on of my least favourite jobs. We also clean and hoover the inside of the van as we take it straight back to storeage.

If we are on hookup the van is always cleaned inside before packing up, that way we only need to put in clothes and food and it's ready the next trip.

I forgot to add that I ensure the awning is cleaned before I put that in the bag. When I say cleaned I mean the part that touches the the floor (mudflap). Once you get mud on that and dont clean it off while it is damp it tends to stain the plastic skirt.

I agree. Also, if you leave it muddy, it could come into contact with the 'nice' fabric, and mess that up too. Of course, an awning should be put away dry, which means any of the wet stuff needs to be dried/cleaned anyway.
