Van goes into the workshop 1st week in September.
More water came in skylight on Sunday night when we were at Forfar. Whilst drying the skylight I noticed that a metal screw which potrudes down and acts as one of the stops for the flyscreem was missing !.It was there a few months ago.It looks like it has either allowed a gap to open up in the chasis of the skylight or allowed water to come through the hole or a combination of both !.
The screw would have had to have unscrewed upwards !.
The only thing that I could think of was vibration caused by unbalanced wheels on long journays. That could also explain why gaps have opened up in the internal furnishings, screws dropping out and cupboard doors opening.
I stopped at a tyre fitter on the way home and got both wheels balanced.
A word of warning to anybody that has to replace a wheel on a caravan the fitter had to deflate them to get them off and on. Just what you need when replacing a flat !. I carry a 12v tyre pump but will have to get an extension lead to run from the car to inflate the tyre when put on the van..
