Hi all, there was no paint on the tow ball so my hubby has said. The towing went well all the way from Northampton to Carmarthen, then the noise started. Hubby says he will follow your advice and give it a good clean. Venture have said the same. Problem is the caravan is already on a seasonal site, so we are a bit frustrated as we may have to take her off it just to see how the alko stabiliser gets on. GRRRRRR.

I wouldn't bother making a separate journey to take it in. The noise from the hitch sounds a lot worse than it really is. The pads are cleaned as part of the yearly service. If you are going to have to make the journey for the service than the pads can be done then rather than now. Just make sure that Venture specifically note it down to be done on the service.

All this is starting to make us think about the future, and being weather-proof. If we can we'll swing by Venture Daventry on our way down next month. I suspect we won't be short of a talking point on holiday

Great stuff love the hooks on the door for teatowel and such. Think we are going to have to add some crockery racks as at the moment I'm packing it all down at the end of each trip to put up again for the next trip. As our trips at the moment are mainly weekends it can be a bit tedious suppose there has to be some negatives with having humongous cupboards

BTW Appleby, we turned up to pitch our Sporty last weekend and we had been pitched next to another Adria instant conversation starter, lovely couple, and we are meeting up with them in a couple of weeks!

Enjoy!!!

Good to look at your pics.   Where did the board that goes in the sink come from? That would be useful. Also think we need a covering in the toilet as it does get grubby.   Just back from our 7th trip. 3 nights at black bull Pickering (lovely site).   We will probably add the external electric socket and electric heating when it's serviced in oct. still thinking of motor mover to save the clutch on he car!

Thanks everyone. The door hooks, the racks in the cupboards, the sink area chopping board/bowl/drainer are all from Baileys lol. My lovely wife loved all these things in the Orion and sought to add them to the Adria, they really do fit well and look like they were mean't to be We are only doing things that look like they have always been there as part of the Adria spec....don't want to go to OTT just in case in the future we want to sell for another one LOL!

Bailey parts

Wizzo from here on the forums was the one who first told us about the Bailey draining board and chopping board. Myself and my wife find these forums very informative and helpful.

Thanks to sunshinetours also, for improving our sleep in the front make up double bed. The bed topper is fab and using a duvet cover over the bed topper is fantastic and has made it easier for us when making the beds up!

Nice pics guys, glad you are enjoying yours as much as we are!
Ours is two years old and in the 2011 model year darker wood and looks great! We were worried about buying second hand reading some of the horror stories on here but it all works fine and feels like it should last which I have to say certain other makes and models did not!

Once people start realising how well these vans are made and ignore their own perceived brand snobbery I think the only limiting factor will be Adria themselves and their dealer network

Just for reference we purchased the 27 piece melamine Dinner/Tea set from Ebay as one seller is selling loads of them. The set came with 4 x 10" Dinner plates, 4 x 8"Side plates, 4 x 8" Bowls, Tea pot, Milk jug, Sugar pot, Salt and Pepper pots, 3 Sectioned nibble's tray, Large single Tray plus 8 mugs (4 in one style and the other 4 in another)Came in 2 proper boxes. Auctioned with a starting price of just £20 plus postage of £8.99....we managed to get one for the £20 asking price so was well chuffed with the overall cost of a set like this. Just noticed they are still selling them....they are going like hot cakes by the looks of all they have sold so far lol. If anyone is interested...here's the link....Melamine Dinner/Tea Set

Argos, via ebay is also selling some fab packs of 4 Clear Tumblers...we bought 2 lots...just £1.99 for each set of 4 plus 99p postage. Another great bargain. 148 sold already by the looks of it. Click here for the Tumblers if of interest

Our Table mats are Japanese Style Roll-Up Bamboo Wood Placemats. Easy to roll up and place in the draws. Saves having to wash linen versions, just wipe and because they roll up saves space to

Just bought a Teppanyaki hotplate from Aldis for £20, sounds great for a cooked breaky in the morning Uses electric to, so am glad of the outside electric point lol. Did originally try for a mini cadac that was on offer at Tesco for just £12.50, but sold out before i could enter my card details Still, saves me messing around with the gas bottles now heehee. Will give the Teppanyaki hotplate a go when next up at the caravan. Anyone else get/got one?

Yes I have had the same one for a couple of years. They are great for using in the awning. I cooked bacon burgers etc. They are brill for American pancakes. They have a three year warranty. The only negative is tahat over time they start to slightly arch so not too good for fried eggs. Dead easy to clean. Just wipe over with a little cooking oil.

Hi all. Newbie here.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread and checking out the link to your photos appleby10. You have really inspired me, so much so i went and bought an Adria Altea 2011 Can't wait to add a lot of the things that you have added and updated. Those photos and the info under them are really excellent. Shows how an Adria Altea can look and be if you put in just a little effort.

Just wanted to shout out to Appleby10 and Wizzo for their excellent and informative threads and pictures. Thanks truly for taking the time to do so.

Not noticed you online much appleby10 on here as have been checking daily to see if thread has got updated lol. Hope you don't mind my re-bunging the link to your photos on photobucket here again :D

Hi farrer, andyfisher & clever Lovely to hear that you are all having fun in your Adria's. We are hoping also to go away in ours for the very first time this weekend and we are all very excited. Have been busy buying all the bits and bobs needed. Luckily we had most things as it came with the caravan, like the water carrier, waste water thingy, electric cable and so fourth. Sorry with use of words as am totally a novice and no none of the real names for these gadgets lol.

We have so many plans and ideas for the van, its such an exicting time for us. Wish we had got one a lot sooner as really could of benefited with it during the school holidays. We also have the DT but we did originally want the DK as we liked the idea of the end room, but we saw none for sale close enough, but anyway, we are really happy with the DT, it would of been either of these vans anyway as they are both equal sizes and make ups, just a different set up thats all. We will be using the bottom bunk for storage and have already taken out the mattress in there and with the curtain we can easily close it off. We want to purchase all the chopping boards, drainers, wire racks etc that appleby has in hers, in fact most of the stuff we will probably try and do. I think they will be very handy. Also will get the door hanger as it will be handy for hanging up daughters fleeces and anything that's just been ironed lol. Will also attempt adding the electric element as wizzo's info is great and hubby is great at things like that. Love also the lcd's tv's on each of the bunks. AAAGHHHHH there's just so much

Its just so nice to find actual photos of these caravans from people who own them, it really gets these caravans out there and noticed. I never had heard of Adria until i popped into these forums and then did my own research and it was Appleby10 and Wizzo's threads that made me want to buy :D I think that both Apple and wizzo's vans would of been classed as exclusive's if dealers had sold them lol.

Fun times ahead
