Its a long stretch of the imagination to think that heavier than air gas in a well ventillated compartment would have a problem with a switch etc at high level
It used to be common practice to have the battery box in the front locker at one time.
Still the regs have to cover all eventualities
I had a strip light at the top of one locker
The Bailey light does not have a switch in the locker and by the way its of the chocolate teapot variety.
Its at the bottom and very dim
I have disconnected mine and use the switch for pumping water into the tank !!

Thanks for reply JohnG, but alas not enough cable, to go from switch to control panel, battery to switch, will be OK nothing else drawing power maybe battery was on its last legs,(just replaced it), but will fit switch just to isolate mover. any idea re:- gauge of cable?. regards David
David, I have a Reich single axle mover fitted, and according to the manual, the cables between the battery & the control box, which will be the ones you are referring to, are 10 mm squared. (Cables between motors and control box are 6 mm squared.)
