Dear all. Don't worry, I have got the message! I know that you've been asking for some help setting up an owners club for ages and, with one thing and another, it's never happened.
We ARE serious about getting this up and running I promise. I'm getting a web site organised and we will be sending out a letter and questionnaire to everyone in our database - we just wanted to make sure that we include all of the latest news in the letter as it's quite a time consuming exercise. Within 2 weeks everything should be much clearer this end and we can get the letter out. In the meantime I need your help please.
I am working with our web guys to get a website sorted for the owners club - what do you want it to include? I'm assuming you'll want to post photos, have a discussion forum, an events listings page, a membership/sign up page, an 'about us' page and even eventually, a merchandise page. What else?
I know that this is just one element of the club - the letter/ questionnaire will give us an idea of what owners and potential members might want from the club and we'll need to sort out who will run it, how it will be run, etc. I already have a couple of people who are willing to help run it and I envisage that we'll have a meeting shortly to see how it might work, and then advertise for volunteers to take specific roles.
If you'd like to complete the questionnaire in the meantime then please email me and I'll email it out to you - that would be a good start. My email is marketing at geistforlife.com
Thank you for your patience and persistence - I'm sorry we've taken so long to get moving. As you know I am only part-time but this is a high priority job and will be treated as such!
best wishes
Claire

Hi to all Geist owners,
We just took delivery of a 2007 Geist Signature 'van on June 25th, having previously owned a Swift. We only went to the garden centre to buy some plants and stopped by Elite Caravans for a "little look"..... as they say......the rest is history!!
We are really impressed with the standard of German 'vans and hope that this one will last us a very long time.
It would be great to hear from other Geist owners so that we can ask questions and generally keep up to date with anything that's going on.
Our first trip away is to Scotland in July - family party to attend so staying at Lomond Woods then off to North Ledaig site just outside Oban. We were there last year and had a pitch right on the front overlooking the Isle of Mull (maginificent sunsets) this time we have had to forego our front sea front pitch as they can't accomodate twin axles on them -we don't mind though as we are so happy with our new and all pitches have sea views.
We are already planning summer hol 2010 to the Pyrenees anybody fancy joing us???
Where are you other Geist owners going to for holidays?
Happy caravanning

Hi Silver spirit, We picked ours up from elite on wednesday and have just spent our first weekend away in it and have to say have been really impressed so far,
Although due to the weather we didn't spend much time in the van (was mainly sat outside it)
Off for our main holiday to Ilfracombe on friday morning and cannot wait to really try it out (going to a non facility site)
We too changed from a swift to a Geist.
Good to hear of more and more people buying them!
