Oh yes, would avoid E & L like the plague!
Off the top of my head I can't remember who it is, but Nick did loads of research first this time. An expensive lesson learnt.
Still having some trouble with E & L though (no real surprises there). We went away, came back and the cheque was waiting for us. Now, before we went I spoke to them on the phone about accepting their offer. I was concerned as they had not included the £113 to recover the caravan from the motorway. They said that they did not have the receipt and could I fax it to them (it was originally faxed from Highbridge along with everything else at the start of the claim). I explained that as we were going on holiday the next day and I was not at work I didn't have access to a fax machine. I was assured that this was ok, they would send the cheque for the caravan out and we could sort the recovery costs upon our return.
We got back from holiday to find an email stating that they were not going to pay recovery costs as this was a seperate claim and our access is £119!
How can it be a seperate claim when the costs were incurred due to the caravan being a write off? I'm not a happy bunny at the moment!
