I hate having to come home - the weekends are not long enough!

I too am guilty of going over to shower in my dressing gown - I find the showers at some sites are pokie and some are even designed badly so the floor is always wet and no squeedgee so you can get rid of it, so dressing becomes a nause.

I too like other posters - do not like it when I don't have another trip booked - something to look forward too.

Hope to get away at least once more in the van before we have to put it to bed for the time being.

For someone who never wanted a caravan I don't have miss not being away in it.

Being pretty topical at the moment, another major hate is when the conditions get very windy.  I do worry about the awning.

1.  Towing in a wind

2.  Putting the awning up(or rather being around whilst OH puts awning up)

3. Yapping dogs

4. People going to showers in pj's they have obviously slept in. Yuk

5. Inconsiderate people using the car to go for their nespapers or whater at 6am

6. Facing work on a  Monday morning - Yes today's Monday I have had a lovely weekend away and I am as crammed as a wasp!!!

The narrow choice of layouts.
I would like a caravan with no shower, just somewhere small for a loo, and rather than a fixed bed, one that hinges down from the side of the van. A nice big kitchen with cupboards under the work top. And plenty of windows. I can do without the whole chintzy Indian take-away look too. And all shades of brown and beige should be banned for ever.
With all that gear left out it should be both cheaper and lighter.

That perfectly describes my first ever tourer - a 1961 Sprite Alpine bought for £250 in 1984.  The drop down bed made the van very heavy though.

Can I ask what's so bad about number 4 why is it yuk?Is it no worse than people who've been in their clothes all day sweating napping BBQ'ing or whatever else they've done in them, then walking to the shower in the said same clothes!

We have had caravans in the past and have had tents for the last 6 years.

We're having another van now and I can't wait!  I wouldn't call it hating but the one thing I'm not keen on is the towing  but I hope we'll get used to it again
