Usually use the shower block. But always use the kitchen for washing up and preparing veg etc. But if we went for a fully serviced pitch and it was raining (ha ha doesnt happen that often when camping) probably would you own facilities. Walking over to the shower block greating other campers, chatting in the queue to use the facilities is sometime the only change to meet other campers. So many people stay in their vans to eat and watch the telly (whats the point of being away) that they are not sociable. We used to have a trailer tent and have found that campers rather than caravanners are a much more sociable bunch.

Would you buy shoes then go around with bare feet all the time??? How about starving to death with a fridge full of food??? You soend large amounbts of money on a caravan then not use its facility - same thing really

So, if you have a fridge full of food at home, you would never eat out just because it suited you to do so???  And you never walk round in bare feet because it would be a waste of your shoes???  Same thing really!

Some people buy a particular van because of it's layout - fixed bed, double dinette etc.  If it happens to have a shower, that is incidental.  I am on a seasonal pitch with massive, and spotlessly clean, wetrooms.  Why would I want to shower in a tiny cubicle and draw all my blinds because there is no room to dress in the washroom?  We all pay our money and take our choice - and all those people who justifiably choose to shower in their vans leave the site showers less crowded for those who choose to use them.  The right way is the one that suits you.
