Papa Pip, Having looked at your photos in this thread. One of your awnings (The Green one) was it a Harrison Awning as it looks like the model we had when we had our Thompson.
------------- Don't know where I'm going but will be happy when I get there.

Hi Jadonamy, it may well have been, it was the first one we bought for the van, a bargain at £50! The chap that sold us it said it was all he had left as his wife got the van in divorce settlement and he got the awning! Daft but true! lol The canvas got a rip in it so was disposed of, still got the alloy poles which we hope will fit one of the new awnings we have as their poles are steel and pretty heavy!
Hi J, that is very close to the colour of the one I bought in Feb on Ebay, although a different make with zip out sides! The one I have is a Larsen, still got to try it out on the van but it certainly looks good having had it laid out in the garden and checked it over! We also have a suncamp canopy and another awning (NR) which came with the van, still got to check them out, must get them out and have a look! Love the picture with the 'hills' in the background! We last went to the Lakes on our honeymoon, (1986) in mum and dads Viking Fiberline, another classic caravan.
I've kept a small review site of sites visited since touring - but no one knows about my site!
Hi Bazlin and a very warm wlcome to the forums. I originally started my site on the same basis as you and then started getting more enquiries about the caravan than the holidays! lol Hence the big change to thomson-caravans.co.uk who would have guessed that back in 1999/2000 when I started web design that the site would have gone from a page with a picture of me, the caravan and towcar to what it has become. Enjoyed looking through your site and I am so pleased that you and your family kept in touch with the other mums and dads and found this great experience.
