not all dealers are the same! From my local dealer:
2 Year Ultimate Used Caravan Warranty - FREE* Buy a Lowdham Ultimate Used Caravan, get 2 Years Ultimate Warranty FREE*
All caravan warranties are not the same. Some really aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on. You need a warranty that works and has a straightforward claims process, so that things get fixed with the minimum of fuss. If you are being offered a Used Caravan with a warranty, compare it to our FREE 2 Year Ultimate Warranty*: Cover
No need to go through long lists of components and work out what’s missing. Our policy covers all electrical and mechanical components of the insured tourer fitted as part of the original specification, including water ingress and delamination*.
Terms
2 Year Ultimate Gold Standard Warranty available for qualifying caravans up to 7 years old. Subject to the Insurers' Service Standards, meaning you must ensure your caravan is serviced in accordance with the manufacturers’ service schedule (not necessarily at a main dealer) to maintain cover, and have receipted evidence of correct servicing in the event of a claim
You see ..... we all know that it is NOT a FREE Warranty!
You may well add £1,000 onto the sale price over my Dealers .... so, it's swings and roundabouts.
Not saying your warranty is anything but very good ..... but I do know that it is NOT Free!

Doing up a caravan?
It's not a seaside bungalow!!
Dead money that if ever I saw it ....... and who on earth wants to spend weekends doing up a clapped-out van?
I want to be using it, not forever repairing the damned thing.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me that you don't believe that these Warranties are FREE!!! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!
They must see you coming .........
my comment was more that how do you know the prices differ to cover the warranty
And please there is no need to be so rude They do see me coming and have been known to hide under the tables rofl
Sorry if you thought me rude, I see you took it in the fun way it was intended .... :D
But, no warranty is FREE - whatever the nice, honest, truthful, salesman says!!
I'm typing this from under that table ..... !!!!

most possibly 90% of the people using this forum.
Do you set out to alienate everyone or does it come naturally..
Most caravanners enjoy their caravans and enjoy doing them up and doing minor repairs.
If you feel that strongly why bother even buying a caravan and why not just use a hotel... after all us caravaners have lower standards than you.
Woe betide any of us using a screwdriver or spanner on our vans at any point, whilst offering help to other vanners who are in need of assistance.
I see that you are twisting the meaning of my words AGAIN ....
I don't mind servicing a caravan ..... or fixing it - but, I certainly don't want to be doing it up as I wouldn't have bought a basket case in the first place.
Classic caravans are an exception, of course, as these are a different segment of the market ... I do admire these very old vans.
Trying to maintain a tatty old van in an attempt to enjoy a holiday in it is not, by any stretch of my imagination, my idea of a fun way to waste my time ..... I want to hitch up and go and enjoy, not spending a week trying to get the hot water working or re-laminating a collapsed floor!!

however how can you compare the prices from your dealer to a dealer you have never been too ??
Errrrmmmm, the Internet?
Look at their prices, look at my Dealers prices .... google is my friend.
I must say, and admit, Lowdham prices 'seem' about the same ..... but, some Dealers don't like moving on price - do Lowdham knock the usual 10% Off as my Dealers do?
That 10% could be the cost of the Warranty - and, maybe, that's worth that?
