We put ours in the bottom of the wardrobe as it is much easier to get it in and out.

I'm always worried (probably pschological) that if i store bedding in the lockers under the seats (ie ... the floor of the caravan) that isnt protected in a "bag" or similar, that it will get damp & cold ..... Does this happen ??

No, but we don't keep them there when not using the van, they are our normal duvets from home.

I take the one from home everytime I go and then when I use the van I keep it in the shower room.  Then when the heating is on at night the duvet is nice and warm.

Ours is just stuffed into the under-seat locker (has a very big opening front - so quite easy).  I don't leave it in there through all through the winter, but do all of the rest of the time.

I have found that a duck feather filled duvet squashes down much more than a polyester fibre one.  The fibre one stayed 'springy' and was not as easy to pack into a small area, like the feathers.  I've also only gone for a 10.5 tog one - which is plenty warm enough all year round and is of course less bulky than the 13.5 tog ones.

However, if you aren't using electric heating which you can leave on all night, then maybe the 10.5 tog wouldn't be enough in the chillier months.

We had same problem & were huffing & puffing stuffing the duvet in the box & dragging them out again at night. This seemed like hard work so we invested in new idividual sleeping bags. We just roll them up in the morning & put them at the window end as cushions , at night we just roll them out on the single beds- it's a doddle no more moaning about bed making. We keep our sleeping bags in the airing cupboard  of our bungalow - always nice & dry &  pop them out on the line on a nice sunny day to air them & keep them nice & fresh, before we use them again.

Caravaning should be easy not hard work.

on the bed of course (fixed bed)... sorry I'm trying to be silly coz i'm having a depressing day at work - staff moralle low (possibly all losing jobs in next couple of weeks> we store our duvet in the house in the winter - before this van we used to store in the locker under the seats but it was a bit of a pain stuffing the thing in such a small place.  Think the locker (wardrobe) good idea -me huh just never thought of that one... ladedah...

I got a large storage bag from Woolworths, it fits under the the front bunks which I stuff the duvet in during the day. In between trips I pull it out from the bunks and leave it in the middle of the floor but we do leave our heating on low.

keep ours in the wardrobe. we take 2 duvets - one to lie on top of instead of a sheet - this evens out the lumps in the bed (fixed bed one day when the kids have left home)and one over the top. two duvets and 6 pillows- 3 each- fills the wardrobe up fully!
