I try to make use of site facilities as much as possible. So loo in the van is only used for overnight tinkle, I dont use a shower in the van at all, nor personal washing or dishes washing up (unless its pelting down!)

Why pay for facilities then bring your own??!?

Now, see, I just can't be bothered to go trekking to the shower block everytime I feel the urge, its quicker to just park my bum in the van.  Ditto the dishes.  By the time you've loaded them up in a bowl and carted them to the facilities, you could've done them already. I do wash them outside the van now and again, to enjoy the sun, but its a lot quicker to wash, wipe and put away when you're in the van.

Mind you, you could say the same about showering I suppose.  By the time I've filled the aquaroll and waited for the water to heat up, you've probably already had your shower.  But I like the comfort of being in my own van, not a draughty shower block with grubby floors, it was one of the reasons for choosing the van I have.

Scroll down and look at the thumbnails.  Does anyone know how to rename the link so it says "Click Here" and stuff like that, instead of the whole website address?

You're meant to have a transverse bathroom with the solid door to the front and corrugated thingy at the back, but we just shut the first door and the blinds in the back room and use the whole of the space as a dressing room.

We went for this layout because I leave the back room made up as two single beds for the kids. I prefer the kids to have their own room instead of a huge bathroom and fixed bunks.  Suits us better.

I'm still in the Honeymoon period at the moment because we only got her in October, so far so good though.

Thanks. We had a very good price from Forest of Dean Caravans. He gave us his bottom price immediately, no messing around.

Our van is 18 years old and has the loo sink and shower in confined space (I'm a big lady and hubbie is big too). Only been away once this weekend and it was lovely and hot but had a wash down in the cubicle and had accident with look (grandkids- see post on newbies).

We both think that we would use site facilities for showers and as someone put it No. 2's but I would have a go at using ours. Re water seeping through I would put down more seleant (well hubbie would). Friends had a van which has paper on the walls and they never used the shower but now have a brand new van and the bathroon is great-wish is was mine
