Im due to pick up a new Bailey Ranger on Thursday and have just purchased a Bulldog stabiliser 100Q.

After contacting the company who i am collecting the van from i was making enquires to see ho much they would charger to to fit it.The gentleman i spoke to said this type of stabiliser wouldnt fit on to my van(without cutting and possible cracking the cover) and i would need to buy the Alko triple pack of them at a csot of £200.

Does anyone own a Bailey and has one of these type of stabilisers fitted and if so did you need to cut the cover that goes round the A frame.

Any help would be much appreciated.

we were told to get the Alko too as the Bailey chassis is also Alko. A triple pack for £200 is good we paid £250 for ours - this includes fitting though.

I have the earlier Ranger without the footplates and a spring leaf Bulldog 200 - fitted for nothing when I bought it without any cutting. Maybe the new A frame cover is different on the new ones?

The Bulldog 100Q is such a popular stabiliser, why did Bailey design their chassis shroud so as not to accept it?  Good business for Al-ko stabilisers, though.

Bertie.

I was told that Alko make the Bailey A frame. If that is the case then that is very good business.

It's not the A-frame, it's the cover that Bailey put over it.   Get the Alko, it is so much easier to use.

We have a 1300 triple pack £225 fitted on our new Ranger 470/4.   This is designed for a maximum MTPLM of 1300Kg. Worth checking that your van is within that figure, otherwise you'll need the more hefty stabiliser.
