I have been after a used awning for my Elddis Wisp 350/2 for some time now and have measured from floor round rail back to floor which is 704cm (291 inches). I've seen awnings for sale 12, 12.5 and 13 ft. I've measured the caravan and it is approx 13ft in length, but across the rail is 12ft. So which would be the right size awning as I'm a bit confused?
Hi, You have done the right measurement in metric as all awning are measured this way...You simply need a 700 awning for your Elddis caravan.......Forget about the 12 or 13 feet measurements....

Find the corresponding manufactures web page for the awning that you are looking at and see where your meausrements fall within their discriptions some are metric some ft and inches and some numbers. I worked out all the main ones and wrote them down so when looking could just refer to my notes.

Have a a look at http://home.btconnect.com/nrawnings/size.htm
They still sell awnings by length your 704cm would convert to a 10ft awning.
To find the size of awning you require, measure your caravan from the ground up, over and back to the ground (A+B+C). This ground-to-ground measurement is used to determine which awning size is needed.
Hi
I don't know what year your Wisp is, but the manual for my 1991 Wisp 350/2 says that the awning size needed is 730cm (actually says 7300mm), and not 704 as you measured.
