I'm thinking of buying a jockey wheel motor mover and wandered if they make life easier. I was also wandering if they are left on the caravan or if they are removed for the journey?

I would be grateful for any advise.

like phantomtrucker says, they ok on hard ground but not so good on grass.  I always take mine off while towing cos its a heavy thing and i dont keep it on when pitched in case some nice person decides to nick it.

My house is on a hill and its good for getting it out of the drive and pushed up the hill to get it on the car, not so good on pebbles and stuff like that tho.

Thanks for comments. I was wandering how much should I pay for a second hand one?   

I have a secondhand one for sale. £50. But you would need to uplift it as it is too heavy to send.
