I'm thinking of buying a jockey wheel motor mover and wandered if they make life easier. I was also wandering if they are left on the caravan or if they are removed for the journey?
They are OK on hard ground, but not a lot of good on slippery surfaces. The good ones are fitted to the chassis to work on the wheels, BUT cost money, they are well worth the money if you are in a fix at any time and can be changed to a new van if you trade in at any time. I have a Truma, even gets me off soft mud or grass. Which my car won't.

like phantomtrucker says, they ok on hard ground but not so good on grass. I always take mine off while towing cos its a heavy thing and i dont keep it on when pitched in case some nice person decides to nick it.
My house is on a hill and its good for getting it out of the drive and pushed up the hill to get it on the car, not so good on pebbles and stuff like that tho.
------------- why is there so much month left at the end of the money?
i have the bigfoot one on ours, it does to loose grip a little sometimes up hill an on gravel, so i just stand on the A frame to add a little weight.......does the job ok then. for the price i paid and the help it gives me, i am very happy with mine. i wish i could travel with it on, but its hangs below a safe margin. i fitted an extra bracket on the A frame, to aid quick fitting.....leaving the other in place but not in use when moving.
